Owen Pratt is a British musician and sound artist based in the Montagne Noire, France. His practice encompasses electroacoustic composition, sculpture and field recordings; applying his experience as an audio engineer to the creation of environmental interventions that investigate natural phenomena. Installations of these works tend to employ imperfect speaker systems and explore how objects can alter our perception of sound, encouraging listening in terms of timbre, texture and contrast.

Frequently utilising collaboration as a way of exploring different approaches to sound, he maintains longstanding collaborative relationships with visual artists Shaan Bevan, Jala Wahid and Hannah Quinlan/Rosie Hastings.

His work has been shown at Zaza', M Goldstein, Des Bains & Super Dakota; collaborative works have been exhibited at galleries and museums, including the ICA, The Baltic, Kunsthalle Osnabrück, the Hayward Gallery, Hanger Y and the Serpentine Pavilion.
