Helen Clarke

Helen Clarke's work explores themes of production, geology, rurality, and fertility. Clarke’s sculptures reference aerial landscapes, sites of industrialised production, and extractivism; combining heritage crafts, the materiality of the land and the detritus of consumerism to create works that play with scales of time and place. Clarke attempts to examine our complicated relationships with the natural world and to engender a notion of reciprocity with our environment.
