Frieze Connect members are invited to the launch of Lisson Grove Galleries, a new initiative developed by a group of non profit and commercial arts spaces in the Lisson Grove area of London.
Led by Lisson Gallery, The Bomb Factory Art Foundation, Patrick Heide Contemporary Art, Palmer Gallery and The Showroom, the programme presents a series of events across the neighbourhood, centred on collective practice. The inaugural edition launches during London Gallery Weekend 2026.
The programme coincides with the exhibition Cultural Crisis and the Emergence of the Collective at The Bomb Factory, which brings together UK based artist collectives working across visual art, sound, music and performance. At a moment when artistic practice is increasingly shaped by social and economic pressures, the exhibition considers how collectives offer alternative models grounded in collaboration, shared authorship and mutual support.
Across the day:
The Bomb Factory
Director Pallas Citroen and participating artists lead a talk on the exhibition, exploring the role of UK based collectives
The Showroom
A walkthrough of Mandy El Sayegh’s mural led by Director Gabriela Salgado, followed by an introduction to Ângela Ferreira’s Slits are Girls with Andrew Renton
Palmer Gallery
A musical and spoken word performance by Carolina Aguirre, developed in response to her exhibition
Lisson Gallery
Lubaina Himid and Magda Stawarska in conversation with Rosie Cooper, followed by drinks in the courtyard
Patrick Heide Contemporary Art
A shared private view and community BBQ
